The Bachelor Programme
This three-year degree course takes place in Bruneck/Brunico and aims to educate and train managers and professionals for the tourism, sport and event industries.
Students will gain knowledge and experience in international tourism management and in developing, planning and managing projects for sport and cultural events.
The first part of the programme provides students with a solid basis in management, economics, law, statistics, and foreign languages whereas the second part focuses on specific subjects relevant in tourism, sport and event management.
Economics, Management, Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics for Economists, Statistics, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial and Operational Decision Making, Applied Business and Economic Law, Specialized and Foreign Language, Communication Skills and Strategies, Marketing and Information Systems & Data Management. Additionally, students choose from courses such as Destination Development, Sustainable Tourism, and Marketing & Sponsorship of Sports and Events. Students are required to undertake an internship.
Knowledge and skills acquired in this programme allow graduates to pursue careers as junior managers, department heads, or similar positions in travel and tourism companies, in sports organizations, or event agencies, PR firms, or congress centres. Furthermore, subjects offered in this undergraduate degree programme provide students with a solid basis enabling them to continue with postgraduate studies in various areas of business administration, such as tourism, sport and event management, international business, and international marketing.
