The Bachelor programme
This three-year degree programme aims to educate and train managers and professionals for the tourism and sports industries. Students will gain knowledge and experience in international tourism management and in developing, planning and managing projects for sports and cultural events. The first part of the programme provides students with a solid basis in management, economics, law, statistics, and foreign languages, whereas the second part focuses on specific subjects relevant to tourism, sports and event management, along with the economics of tourism and sport.
Political and Company Economics, Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics for Economists, Statistics, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Operative and Financial Decisionmaking Analysis, Business and Economic Law, a Foreign Language (Spanish and French) and Specialist Language for Economists (English, German and Italian), Communication Skills, Marketing, Data and Information Systems Management. In addition, students are free to choose specialisation courses, such as Destination Development, Sustainable Tourism and Event Sponsorship and Marketing. Students are required to do an internship.
Knowledge and skills acquired in this programme allow graduates to pursue careers as assistant managers, department heads, or as specialists in travel and tourism businesses, leisure and sports clubs and organisations, events and PR agencies, and congress centres. Subjects offered in this undergraduate degree programme also provide students with a solid foundation for postgraduate studies in various areas of business administration and tourism, Sports and Event management.
