Applied Research in Informatics with Industry: The Fraunhofer ModelThe seminar presents an innovation model based on applied research. This innovation model forms the basis for the largest and most successful Applied Research Organization in Europe (Fraunhofer Gesellschaft). Its specific application to Informatics is described using the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) in Kaiserslautern, Germany.  The author will augment the seminar with personal experiences, and illustrate the Integration of the essentials of this innovation model into research and education.Prof. Dr. H.
