The four steps towards admission:
1. Collect information
All the information you need in order to apply (deadlines, admission requirements, language requirements) can be found in the Study Manifesto. For any further enquiries you can get in touch with the Advisory service via e-mail (study@unibz.it) or phone (+39 0471 012 100).
2. Apply online 
Your application is submitted online through the application portal. After registration you need to fill in the form online and upload the documents required as an electronic file. Through the application portal you can also upload your language certificates or register for the language exams. Non EU candidates must observe specific application procedure.
The application deadlines for academic year 2013/14 are the following:
  • School of Economics and Management and Faculty of Computer Science:
    1. pre-enrolment phase: 1.03.-28.03.2013
    2. pre-enrolment phase: 2.04.-20.08.2013
  • All other Faculties (Design and Arts, Science and Technology, Education):

   single pre-enrolment phase: 1.03.-20.08.2013

3. Admission procedure
All degree programmes at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano have a fixed total intake. Candidates must undergo a selection procedure which may vary from course to course and which may consist of a written test, an oral exam or may be based on the evaluation of particular documents submitted (e.g. school marks, motivation letter etc.). Please read carefully the Study Manifestos for more detailed information.
4. Ranklists and enrolment

A ranklist of the admitted candidates will be published for every degree programme. You may only enrol in a single degree programme upon payment of the first instalment of the tuition fees. The deadlines for academic year 2013/14 are the following:

  • Candidates of the 1st pre-enrolment phase (for Economics and Computer Science only): publication of the rank list on 22nd April 2013, place reservation upon payment of the first instalment of the tuition fees by 17th May 2013, enrolment by 2nd October (Bachelor’s programmes) or by 15th October (Master’s programmes);
  • Candidates of the 2nd or single pre-enrolment phase (all Faculties): publication of the ranklist by 9th September 2013, enrolment by 2nd October (Bachelor’s programmes) or by 15th October (Master’s programmes).
