It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Sixth International Conference on Third Language Acquisition and Multilingualism to be held from 10th to 12th September 2009 at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

This is the first time the conference is to be held in Italy. Previous conferences have been held in Innsbruck in Austria (1999), Leeuwarden-Ljouwert in The Netherlands (2001), Tralee in the Republic of Ireland (2003), Fribourg/Freiburg in Switzerland (2005), Sterling in Scotland (2007).
