An der heutigen Großtagung der Banca d’Italia in der Aula Magna der Freien Universität Bozen ging es um die Wirtschaft der Autonomen Provinzen Trient und Bozen. Nach der Begrüßung durch den Hausherrn, Rektor Prof. Lorenz, umrissen die Wirtschaftsprofessoren Prof. Lucie Courteau und Prof. Alessandro Narduzzo ihre Sicht der aktuellen Wirtschaftslage.

Applied Research in Informatics with Industry: The Fraunhofer Model

The seminar presents an innovation model based on applied research. This innovation model forms the basis for the largest and most successful Applied Research Organization in Europe (Fraunhofer Gesellschaft). Its specific application to Informatics is described using the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The author will augment the seminar with personal experiences, and illustrate the Integration of the essentials of this innovation model into research and education.
