MONITORING BEDLOAD AND DEBRIS FLOWS IN MOUNTAIN BASINSThis international workshop intends to bring together scientists actively studying bedload and debris-flow monitoring in mountain environments, as well as technicians, professionals and public agencies interested in learning the state-of-the-art on the topic and discussing further developments. Ausstellung: HANDS-ON URBANISM 1850 - 2012 Vom Recht auf GrünERÖFFNUNG: Mi. 24.10.2012, 20 Uhr mit Eröffnungsreferat AUSSTELLUNG: 25.10.2012 – 15.11.2012 - verlängert bis 30.11.2012 Die Ausstellung widmet sich einer Ideengeschichte von Landnahmen im urbanen Raum. Die Ausstellung welche für das Architekturzentrum Wien konzipiert wurde widmet sich einer Ideengeschichte von Landnahmen im urbanen Raum. Seit dem Modernisierungsschock der Industrialisierung sind Städte weltweit mit schwierigsten Herausforderungen konfrontiert. In Krisensituationen finden StadtbewohnerInnen jedoch seit jeher eigene Lösungen, sie betreiben Stadtentwicklung von unten. Selbstbau und Selbstorganisation, Siedeln und Nutzgärten führen zu anderen Formen des Zusammenhalts, der Nachbarschaftlichkeit und der Verteilungsgerechtigkeit.
