Short bio

With a background as a Lawyer, Law Teacher, and Researcher in Philosophy of Law, I decided to pursue a career as a Computer Scientist, believing information technology is taking over every aspect of society and every research field. Now as a Ph.D. student in CS, I am glad to work within a team of high-level researchers at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Unibz), developing ontology-driven conceptual models in an interdisciplinary way, in particular for safety and security domains. That has not been an easy path, but I have always been patient and persistent toward my goals.

Main Research Areas

Based on the approach of Ontology-Driven Conceptual Modeling, I aim at developing a Common Ontology of Safety and Security based on the Common Ontology of Value and Risk.
The research combines Philosophy, Conceptual Modeling, Knowledge Representation and Automated Reasoning.
