The Information and Database Systems Engineering research area (IDSE) is scientifically active on the development of innovative data-driven systems, such as decision support and recommender systems, on empirical software engineering, on technologies for management and analysis of spatiotemporal data, on technology enhanced learning, and on human centred computing. It consists of almost 30 members, including PhD students and postdocs.
Research in IDSE spans theoretical issues as well as innovative applications, establishing collaborations with the local territory and with internationally prestigious partners, in academia and industry.
Researchers at IDSE regularly publish at prestigious venues including journals and highly selective conferences, and arrange local scientific events which attract international audience.
