unibzVoices. Sing with us!

Would you like to sing and get to know new people? Joining unibzVoices, a mixed choir designed to bring the campus and community together, maybe the right move.

“It’s not important how good you think you can sing. Just come by and join us, regardless of any previous training in singing or music!”, says Prof. Johann Van der Sandt who teaches Music as Communication at the Faculty of Education in Brixen-Bressanone and conducts the unibzVoices Choir, the official choral ensemble of unibz.

The choir is open to everyone in the unibz community and even outside of it: students, alumni, researchers and professors as well as interested singers from Bozen-Bolzano and Brixen-Bressanone. The repertoire varies from classical choral works to more popular music and folk songs. Students have the option to take the choir as an optional subject, thereby earning academic credit points.
Rehearsals take place once a week in Bozen-Bolzano (on Wednesdays, 6 to 7.30 pm) and Brixen-Bressanone (on Tuesdays, 5.30 to 7 pm).
The highlight of the project will be a performance in Perugia as part of the National Italian University Choir Association but there will be other performances as well, on and off the campuses in Bozen-Bolzano and Brixen-Bressanone.
