Courses in other Languages

These courses are primarily aimed at unibz students, lecturers and employees. Employees of other research institutions in the province of Bolzano can also enroll in these courses, provided that spots are available and that an agreement exists between unibz and the relevant organization.

Non-traditional students, students in the Studium Generale program, senior student card holders and external students can only register for extensive Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Ladin, and preparatory courses for the international certification exams CELI and TestDaF.

 All language courses offered by the Language Centre, except from the 3-week intensive courses, are also open to unibz alumni, who can register for extensive courses in the three main languages (Ger, It, Eng) as well as in other foreign languages by paying a € 100 flat fee per academic year.

COURSE CONTENT
Read the Arabic alphabet (reading and writing); basic conversation elements: different greetings, presentation, give information about the origin, ask and answer simple questions, thank; cardinal numerals up to 10.
Grammar
Nominal clause; determined and not determined article; differentiation between the sun and the moon letters; masculine and feminine adjectives; personal nouns; possessive adjectives (suffix pronouns); local prepositions.

COURSE CONTENT
Describing personal appearance; colours; expressing preferences; in a clothing store; cardinal numerals over 100; in a restaurant; the ordinal numerals; telling the time; talking about weekend activities; talking about the taste of foods.
Grammar
Genitive and accusative cases; some broken plural forms, regular plural forms of the feminine and masculine; nobody/nothing; plural personal and demonstrative pronouns; the plural form of the regular verb in the present and past; frequency adverbs; the verb „to be“ in the past; the negation of the past with “ma”; the imperative; the verbs with middle “waw” or “ya”; “LA” – “KALLA” / “NA'AM”- “BALA”.
