Matteo Moretti grew up and worked for years in the web and motion design industry at Erazero, an MTV Italy cross-media partner.
After years of work he starts his academic career as a lecturer and then as a researcher at the Unibz.
Since 2012, he research on visual journalism, co-founds the platform visualjournalism.unibz.it where he collects his students' works and organizes #VJSS the first Italian summer school on visual journalism.
People's Republic of Bolzano is his most famous visual journalism project, awarded with the Data Journalism Award 2015 and the European Design Award 2016.
In 2017 he will speak at Visualized.io confrence and will be member of the "Immersive Storytelling" jury at the World Press Photo Award.
