In national rankings, our university reaches top positions every year. We rank high in international rankings too, especially under the categories "Internationalisation", "Student Satisfaction" and "Citations".
Censis
In 2026, for the tenth year in a row, the socio-economic research institute Censis ranked our university first among small non-state universities (with fewer than 5,000 students) in Italy, also awarding it the third highest score among all universities.

THE World University Rankings
In the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings unibz ranked in the band of 401— 500 out of almost 2,191 institutions worldwide. Our strongest pillars are "Research quality" (among the top 250 with a score of 83.7) and "International outlook" (among the top 300 with a score of 78.2). In Italy we are on the 20th position out of 57 universities ranked and on the first for "International outlook". In the Small University Rankings 2024 we are on position 14.
QS World University Rankings
In 2026, unibz was included for the fifth time in the QS World University Rankings securing the 608th position out of 8,00 universities analysed. It ranked among the top 250 in the 'Citations per Faculty' category.
