The Faculty of Economics and Management has a strong focus on research and its members regularly publish in the leading journals of their fields.

The Faculty has been able to recruit several top researchers previously employed in highly renown Universities within and outside Europe.
The Research of our Faculty has performed very well in the ANVUR rankings. You can find a list of representative publications of our Faculty in Management, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics and Statistics, Tourism, Law, Politics and Philosophy and Accounting and Finance.
It runs active seminar series and members frequently collaborate with researchers at outstanding institutions in Europe and overseas. The Faculty disseminates its research also through a working paper series, BEMPS - Bozen Economics and Management Paper Series. Researchers as well as students publish articles about economic, social and political issues on the EconBlog.
The research activities are organised into five macro areas, complemented by the faculty’s close collaboration with the Competence Centre for Sustainability, the Competence Centre for Sustainable Tourism and the Competence Centre for the Management of Cooperatives on related research themes.

The cluster focuses on Data Science innovation and rigorous Mathematical Methods. We integrate econometrics, math, stat to tackle complex data challenges, creating new algorithms and theoretical foundations for impactful discoveries.

This research macro area explores economic theory and empirical analysis to address issues that are at the core of the current scientific debate, affecting society, individuals, institutions and markets
Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management
This research macro area advances knowledge in entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and human resource management, offering multidisciplinary insights to help organisations devise a strategy, develop talent, commercialise technology, and achieve sustainable growth.
Financial Markets and Regulation
This research macro area investigates financial systems. It focuses on corporate finance, banking productivity, market microstructure, financial and non-financial reporting, and European capital-market regulation using cutting-edge empirical methods.
Law, Economics and Institutions
This research macro area examines the interaction between law, economics, and institutions. It focuses on governance, regulatory frameworks, and policies that promote efficiency, democracy, and sustainable development.
Tourism, Marketing and Regional Development
This research macro-area explores the managerial and economic aspects of tourism and assesses comparative advantages in the industrial and economic structures to identify the drivers of regional development.
