How can you build a career that combines different interests, disciplines and ways of working?
Tessa Hinz studied Business Administration in Marburg and Mexico, complementing her studies with courses in Art History. From an early stage, she has explored the intersection of art, business, design and social impact. This has taken her from working with a corporate art collection at an investment bank to conducting interdisciplinary research on the hidden human labour behind AI during her Master's degree in Bozen-Bolzano.
Tessa now lives in Hamburg, combining two professional roles: she works part-time at DER SPIEGEL, while also working independently as a social designer and art educator.
Her 50/50 work model enables her to combine different skills, eco-social perspectives and interests.
Programme:
- Insights into her 50/50 model of employment and freelance work
- Key learnings from her first two years after graduating
- Experiences across product management, publishing, art, and culture
- How to build a career through interdisciplinary work
- Unconventional ways to find jobs, projects, and opportunities
- A conversation about non-linear career paths, interdisciplinary work, and creating a professional life that fits your interests and strengths.
Registration deadline: 19.04.2027
