During his time at university, David gained international experience working in quality control at a fruit farm in New Zealand. This early exposure to global agricultural practices gave him a practical understanding of the industry.
After graduating, he began his professional career at VOG Terlan, working in internal sales for three years, focusing on the UK and overseas markets. This role enabled him to develop robust commercial and organisational skills while engaging with international clients.
He then returned briefly to his family farm to gain further insight into production. He then transitioned back into the commercial side of the business, working for the past three years as an Area Sales Manager at Vi.P Val Venosta in Latsch (BZ). In this position, he is responsible for selling apples and seasonal produce in the Italian market, managing key customer relationships, and developing sales strategies.
Throughout his professional journey, David has learned the importance of flexibility, continuous learning, and embracing challenges, particularly in a dynamic, international work environment.
Programme:
· The importance of multilingual skills in an international business environment: How languages can open doors and facilitate communication with clients and partners
· What I would do differently today: Personal reflections and advice for entering the job market
· Starting a career in South Tyrol: Opportunities and challenges - What to pay attention to when building a career in the local context.
Key message: Find something you truly enjoy, and don't be afraid of challenges – they are essential for personal and professional growth.

Important notice for students:
Organising and planning an event requires time, effort and dedication from everyone involved, including coordinators, participants, speakers and suppliers. Every event involves financial, logistical and personnel resources, and work begins long before the event itself.
For this reason, we ask you to respect the commitment of those organising these events. If you sign up for an event but are unable to attend, please inform us at least three days in advance. This will help to avoid inconvenience and disappointment for those preparing to present or run the event.
Additionally, for events that include catering or other supplies, the financial aspect must be considered: food and materials are purchased based on the number of registrations. Last-minute cancellations do not always allow us to avoid waste.
Therefore, please only register if you are certain that you can attend. If your availability changes, please notify us promptly.
This will enable us to continue offering high-quality events and respect the work of those who contribute to organising them.
Thank you for your cooperation!
