Methodological proposals to design more sustainable products are manifold and partially conflicting. Their success is also limited by people’s understanding of the sustainable advantages enabled by the application of eco-design principles. The BIP combines fundamentals of sustainable design and human-product interaction to enable the development of sustainable products featured by more probable consumer acceptability. Therefore, the Program aims to introduce students to sustainable engineering design and the means to make it effective.

 Beyond that, students will get the possibility to meet and cooperate with other students and professors from different countries and universities in an international and multicultural environment.

 The Program is targeted to (third year) bachelor and master students, preferably enrolled in engineering and design programs.

 The week is co-organized by partners from the Euclides Network and other institutions.

 The online component of the BIP will take place from 22^nd to 26^th February 2027. In this week, the BIP will be introduced to highlight the most important steps and organizers’ expectations. Experts will present sustainable design fundamentals and principles.

The International in-presence week will run from 15^th to 19^th March 2027 in Bolzano (Italy). In this week, students will work in teams to develop new sustainable concepts of engineering products and consumer goods. This will be complemented by lectures on User Experience and other topics relevant to sustainable engineering design. The in-presence week will be concluded with presentations of works carried out by teams and a verification test.
