This workshop explores the connections between soil biodiversity, plant health, public engagement and the One Health perspective. It considers how microbial communication and community assembly belowground relate to plant health, how science exhibitions can introduce microorganisms and One Health to wider audiences, and how citizen science can connect researchers and communities in understanding soil health. Examples include the exhibitions FUNGA and mikroVERSUM and the ECHO initiative. The programme brings research, science communication and public participation into conversation, and concludes with a discussion among participants.
