Short bio
Christian is a full professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, specializing in innovation and marketing. Previously, he was a professor of innovation management at Bundeswehr University Munich, Germany, and served as a substitute professor at the University of Bonn, Germany. After studying business administration in Germany and England, he received his Ph.D. in innovation management and the venia legendi from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany.

Christian’s research combines insights from innovation and marketing to deepen our understanding of attitudes and behaviors in innovation contexts. He is also interested in analyzing what it takes to turn ideas into impactful innovations.
Christian's work has been published in journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. Moreover, Christian serves as an Associate Editor for Review of Managerial Science and is a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Product Innovation Management and Management Review Quarterly.
