Short bio
Nazia Arain is a PhD student in Management at the joint program of the Universities of Bolzano and Trento. Her research focuses on Family Firms and Digital Transformation, with particular interest in governance and leadership during periods of disruptive change across organizational levels. She holds a master’s degree in Economics and Communication for Management and Innovation from Sapienza University of Rome.
Her research develops along two main streams. First, she focuses on family firms and digital transformation at the governance level, examining how executive leadership shapes strategic renewal during periods of disruptive change. This stream investigates the role of CEOs and top management in driving digital initiatives. Second, she plans to extend this work toward digital strategy and broader multi-level dynamics of disruption, exploring how digital technologies reshape decision-making and firm performance.
