Main Research Areas

My research examines accountability, governance, and organizational identity in hybrid and nonprofit settings, with a focus on how these organizations construct, assess, and communicate social impact while preserving mission integrity.
I investigate the interplay between values, measurement systems, and reporting practices, analysing how relational and participatory forms of accountability contribute to sustaining legitimacy, mitigating mission drift, and fostering organizational learning within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Info

I am a PhD candidate in Management for NGOs at the Universities of Trento and Bolzano.
My academic and professional background bridges international relations, project management, and humanitarian governance, with extensive field experience in conflict and post-crisis contexts across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Before entering academia, I worked as a Desk Officer and Head of Mission for international NGOs, coordinating humanitarian programs, partnerships, and advocacy initiatives.
My research interests lie at the intersection of accountability, organizational identity, and social impact measurement in hybrid and nonprofit organizations, focusing on how mission-driven actors maintain coherence and legitimacy in complex institutional environments.
