Short bio
Born in Brixen/Bressanone. Sudies of history an German at the University of Innsbruck. Dissertation in the field of contemporary history. Teaching qualification for history, German language, philosophy and geography in secondary schools. High school teacher in South Tyrol. Research doctorate at the Free University of Bolzano in the field of general didactics an pedagogy. Lecturer at the Universities of Bozen/Bolzano, Innsbruck, Mainz, Augsburg and Hildesheim. Author of several books on Tyrolean contemporary history and historical biographies. Currently researcher at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano in the field of contemporary history and lecturer in the field of teaching history in primary school.
