Short bio
Bruno Carpentieri received his Laurea degree in Applied Mathematics in 1997 from the University of Bari Aldo Moro. He subsequently pursued his PhD in Computer Science at the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse. Following this, he gained extensive international experience through several academic and research positions, including post-doctoral fellow at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, consultant for an FP7 European Project on heart modelling at CRS4 Sardinia, Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen, and Reader in Applied Mathematics at Nottingham Trent University. Since May 2017, he has held an Associate Professor position in Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Computer Science, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. His research interests focus on numerical linear algebra, its applications, and high-performance computing.
