Radmehr Abedini is a researcher in fluid mechanics, specializing in CFD, CAA, experimental aerodynamics and turbomachinery. He earned his M.Sc. in Energy Engineering (Power Generation) from Politecnico di Milano, where he developed advanced aerodynamic probes at the Laboratory of Fluid Machines. His background spans wind turbine modeling, axial compressor design, heat transfer enhancement analysis. Radmehr has hands on experience with LDV, PIV, wind tunnels, transducer calibration, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, and MATLAB based code development. His work bridges computational and experimental methods to better understand and optimize complex flow systems.
Radmehr’s research centers on understanding and controlling complex fluid flows through a combination of CFD, experimental aerodynamics, and multiphysics modeling. His interests include:
• Aerodynamics and turbulence: development of subsonic aerodynamic experiments, turbulence measurements, and characterization of unsteady flow phenomena.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics: LES/RANS simulations, turbomachinery design, heat transfer, and performance modeling of Fans.
• Thermal fluid interaction: convective heat transfer enhancement using flow diverters, jet impingement, and mixed convection systems.
Across these areas, Radmehr integrates numerical modeling with laboratory experimentation to improve predictive accuracy and develop practical solutions for aerodynamic performance, thermal management, and energy conversion.
