RESEARCH APPROACH AND INTERESTS
My research and teaching interests and activities focus on design culture, methods and practices in a transdisciplinary context involving design, architecture, social psychology and computer science since 1994.
In particular, I have developed expertise within a theoretical, methodological and design framework in the field of interaction, experience and design of visual and multimodal interfaces according to a people-centred and practice-based approach. Teaching activities are closely linked to research projects in which I have been involved both as a researcher and practitioner (extrasmall studio).
In my current research, I am interested in exploring the relationship between people and the digital in physical/hybrid space, with a focus on multimodal, performative and choreographic aspects, mainly in the areas of cultural heritage, intangible, digital, landscape and digital archives and design-driven inclusion and gender equity.
