The Spin-off Commission is responsible for:

• evaluating spin-off business proposals on the basis of a business proposal;
• assessing the appropriateness of the University's participation in the corporate structure;
• expressing a mandatory non-binding opinion that is submitted to the University Council;
• assessing and monitoring any conflicts of interest and incompatibilities.

The University Council approves proposals for the establishment of spin-offs, after obtaining the opinion of the Spin-off Commission and subject to the favourable opinion of the Faculty Council to which the proposing members belong and the Academic Senate.
