The University aims to ensure a transparent and clearly structured Quality Assurance (QA) process that defines the tasks and responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved, in coherence with the Quality Policies of unibz, the Strategic and Financial Plan with the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano, and other strategic documents of the University.
Continuous improvement across the different areas of activity—teaching, research, and third mission/social impact—is based on the PDCA logic (Plan–Do–Check–Act). Within this framework, the University defines objectives and plans integrated actions to achieve them (Plan), implements the identified approaches and processes (Do), systematically monitors their implementation (Check), and promotes improvement measures to make them increasingly effective (Act).
Among the key documents supporting the Quality Assurance system are the Quality Policies of unibz, which outline the University’s strategies in the areas of teaching, research, third mission/societal impact, and services. These are complemented by the Guidelines for Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the University, Faculty, Study and PhD Programmes . These guidelines incorporate the AVA system (Self-evaluation, Periodic Evaluation, Accreditation) and describe the QA model of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, defining its roles, responsibilities, processes, and communication flows (Attachment A - Attachment B - Attachment C).
The QA Fact Sheet provides a concise overview of unibz’s Quality Assurance system and is addressed to the student community and international academic staff, with the aim of promoting shared knowledge of the University’s quality processes and tools.
