Although only recently (2023) established, the Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences has the ambitious mission of delivering excellence in student education, scientific knowledge and stakeholder cooperation in agricultural primary productions and food systems, guarantying environmental sustainability. This reflects in three main pillars of Animal and Plant Primary Production, Analysis and Management of Mountain Ecosystems, and Food and Beverage Technologies and Fermentations. This mission must be pursued at the regional, national and international level to make the Faculty a unique and competitive reference centre. In particular, the student education must enable job placements in public institutions and private companies of the three main pillars, while scientific activity must distinguish the researchers at international level with the aim of fostering outstanding visibility and networking. The intense activity public engagement must make visible to stakeholders teaching and research, thus generating social impact.
