Short bio

Carlo Nardi is Lecturer in Music education and Sociology. He received his PhD in Musicology from the University of Trento with a dissertation on audio mastering. His work has focused on the use of technology from a sensory perspective, authorship and creativity in relation to technological change, the organisation of labour in music-making, community music, and sound for the moving image. Between 2011 and 2013 he was General Secretary of IASPM, the International Association for the Study of Popular Music. He is a music performer, sound engineer and composer of music for the moving image.
