Cooperatives as the Entrepreneurial Model of the Future

This will be a valuable opportunity to explore the role of cooperatives as a driver of economic and social development in the region.

During the meeting, the first official report on the activities of the Center will be presented. It will highlight key initiatives, including scientific events, publications, and ongoing collaborations, with a focus on research projects regarding the evolution of the cooperative sector in South Tyrol. The Center works in synergy with numerous regional stakeholders to promote cooperative models that offer sustainable, concrete, and innovative solutions to present and future challenges, with particular attention to the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino context.

Two main topics will be addressed during the conference:

  • Affordable Housing: The cooperative model as a response to the housing market crisis;
  • Business Succession: Opportunities offered by cooperation to ensure the continuity of local businesses.

Speakers will include:

  • Rosmarie Pamer, Vice President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and Councilor for Social Cohesion, Family, Elderly, Cooperation, and Volunteering

  • Prof. Richard Lang, Director of the Competence Center for Cooperative Management

  • Christian Tanner, Deputy Director of the Raiffeisen Cooperative Federation of South Tyrol

  • Franco Farris, Head of Member Assistance and Startups at Coopbund Alto Adige Südtirol

  • Giulio Clamer, Vice President of AGCI Alto Adige
