Abstract
Vine-associated microbial communities will be investigated through DNA metabarcoding, focusing on bacteria and fungi involved in plant nutrition, stress response and disease development. A total of 160 samples will be analysed to assess how rootstocks, agricultural treatments, root systems and grafted vine stems influence microbial diversity and distribution. By linking microbiome composition with agronomic factors and vine physiology, the study will identify microbial patterns relevant to plant health, nutrient cycling and crop resilience. The results may support more targeted soil and plant management strategies, helping to reduce external inputs and improve the sustainability of vineyard production.
