Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education conference

The sixth edition of the Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education conference, LSPHE 2021, will be hosted online by the Language Centre of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd September 2021, with support from the Centre for Languages & Inter-Communication at the University of Cambridge and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The opening keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Stefania Maci, full professor of English Language and Translation, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs, and Director of CERLIS (Centro di Ricerca sui Linguaggi Specialistici) at the University of Bergamo, Italy.

The second keynote address will be given by Christoph Merkelbach, Executive Director of the Language Resource Center, research associate at the Department of Linguistics and Multilingualism, and Director of the Center of Intercultural Competence at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.

The event will also include six parallel sessions featuring LSP practitioners from diverse international higher education contexts. The working languages of the conference will be English, German and Italian.

The sixth edition is being offered free-of-charge.
