Argomenti dell'insegnamento
WS - Course held by Martine De Biasi: The course introduces students to the practical and conceptual foundations of video production and post-production, with a particular focus on documentary filmmaking. Documentary practice is explored in dialogue with fictional, hybrid and experimental forms, as well as contemporary online audiovisual forms. Students examine how content is shaped by framing, shot size, camera movement, duration, montage, sound and context of presentation. The course covers the development and visual planning of ideas; basic camera, lighting and sound-recording techniques; digital editing workflows; and the relationship between image and sound. Further topics include working with archival and found footage, filming outside the studio, experimental and analogue filmmaking processes, and the use and critical examination of artificial intelligence in video production and post-production. Screenings, practical exercises, discussion and reflection connect technical experimentation with the development of an individual audiovisual language.
