The optional Outdoor Education course aims to develop knowledge and skills around an educational approach based on direct experience in the natural and/or urban context of the school. Students will be confronted with active and inclusive methodologies to stimulate learning through play, exploration and relationship with the environment. Practical and theoretical tools for designing outdoor educational activities will be presented and discussed.

Theoretical foundations of Outdoor Education: origins, models, and research on the educational benefits of outdoor learning Experiential learning, active methodologies, sensory education, and embodiment Natural and urban environments as settings and resources for inclusive education School-local territory connection Sustainability and transdisciplinarity Designing, planning, and assessing outdoor activities for personal, social, and relational development

Unterrichtsform
The course uses various teaching methods such as experiential learning, cooperative work, field-based outdoor learning, short theoretical inputs, and guided co-design.

Art der Prüfung
The final assessment consists of a didactic project for an outdoor activity applicable to the chosen educational context.

Bewertungskriterien
Clarity and feasibility of the project; coherence with the principles of Outdoor Education; creativity and adaptability to the school context; ability to connect experience and theory originality and care in documentation.
