Research assistants (AR) | Agroecology, Sustainability & Innovation
Short bio
I am a researcher with broad expertise in Agricultural Engineering and Environmental Science. My recent work focuses on Agroecology, sustainable agricultural practices, and livestock research, with advanced methodologies in data analysis.
I hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Limoges, France, graduating with the highest honors. Additionally, I earned two master’s degrees in microbiology and environmental science from the same university and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science (specialty in Rural Engineering) from the University of Aleppo, Syria. My academic and professional journey spans France, the USA, and Italy.
Beyond research, I have extensive teaching experience, serving as a lecturer and trainer at institutions such as the Superior Agricultural School in France. I have also delivered advanced courses in Agricultural Sciences and Environmental Engineering.
I have worked for more than three years on livestock and animal data, contributing to projects such as CODA and WAST (Welfare Assessment of Dairy Cattle in South Tyrol). Additionally, I have participated in European projects such as "No PILLS in Water!" and "PILLS in Water", focusing on the removal of pharmaceutical compounds from wastewater and water systems. I have also worked on the ETHCSTWIN project, linking computer science with ethnobotany to advance scientific excellence in ethnopharmacological studies. My work has been widely recognized, with 35+ publications in high-impact journals such as Nature, Scientific Reports, Plants, The Chemical Engineering Journal, Foods, Land, and PLOS ONE.
Additionally, I speak English, French, Italian, and Arabic. My ongoing research continues to advance Agroecology, sustainability, and agricultural system development.
