Researchers with a fixed-term contract
Short bio
Fabian Eze is an Assistant Professor (RTD) in the Building Physics and Building Energy Systems Laboratory at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Unibz). His research focuses on the theoretical and experimental analysis of interactions between the built environment and occupants, with the aim of informing energy efficiency policies and enhancing living and working conditions in buildings and urban areas. He is actively involved in the modelling, simulation, and optimisation of building energy systems, as well as the development of control strategies to ensure optimal performance under varying climate scenarios. He conducted his PhD research on the modelling and integration of heat pump systems with renewable energy sources and low-carbon thermal storage for space heating in buildings at the Korea Institute of Energy Research, South Korea, where he was a visiting researcher. Prior to joining Unibz, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Trento, Italy.
