Carrels are personal study rooms, either single or double, which can be rented on a monthly basis. They are located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor of the library.
The rent fee of a place in a single Carrel is 40,00€ per calendar month, for a place in a double carrel it is 30,00€ per person per calendar month.
Carrels are for unibz undergraduate and unibz graduate students only. External patrons, unibz research staff and unibz phd students cannot rent a Carrel.
Carrels can be booked 3 months in advance. One student can only rent one single carrel or one place in a double carrel. Multiple carrel rent is not allowed.
With the link below you can check the availability of the carrels. If you want to book a carrel, simply write an email to library@unibz.it with the desired carrel number and month(s). First email gets the available carrel.
Once you receive the confirmation of your Carrel Booking your account will be charged with the entire rent amount, and your student card will be activated to open the carrel during the indicated time frame.
Cancellation of a carrel reservation is possible only until the 25th of the month prior. After that cancellation is no longer possible and you need to pay the whole amount, even if you don’t use the carrel.
Unibz students, researchers, staff and external patrons with a valid student/campus/library card can reserve the room A4.03 (4th floor of the library) for half a day for a group assignment (max 6 people), a conference call, an online interview, an exam or for other academic/educational purposes.
The service is free.
There are two slots available during the week: 08-13 (Mon-Fri) and 13-19 (Mon-Fri). And two slots are available on saturdays: 09-13 and 13-17. You need to book the day before through the online booking system (link below). You can only book 2 slots per week.
If your booking is confirmed, your student/campus/library card will be activated to open the door of the room A4.03 on the specified date and time.
