This study explores the relationship between the political ideology of U.S. states and counties and the likelihood of launching and succeeding with environmentally focused products in crowdfunding platforms.
While it is well-established that the unique characteristics of different locations influence economic development, the specific mechanisms and directions of these relationships, particularly in the context of green entrepreneurship, remain unclear.
Addressing this gap is critical, especially given the rising importance of disruptive entrepreneurship in tackling environmental challenges and the increasingly polarized political landscape in the United States, both generally and regarding environmental issues.
This investigation provides valuable insights for researchers and policymakers by uncovering a strong link between political ideology and environmentally conscious entrepreneurial activity. Through rigorous analysis and a comprehensive battery of tests, the study presents a nuanced understanding of this relationship, offering actionable findings that can inform academic discourse and practical decision-making.
