The MindBot project explores innovative approaches to promoting mental well-being in manufacturing environments that integrate collaborative robots. Recognizing that the introduction of cobots transforms not only the technological landscape but also the relational and organizational dynamics of the workplace, MindBot focuses on designing and implementing solutions that foster positive mental health and inclusive work conditions, particularly for individuals on the autism spectrum.

The presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of the project’s multidisciplinary framework, combining insights from psychology, engineering, ergonomics, and organizational science. It will outline the project’s rationale and theoretical foundations, describe the experimental phases, present the technological and methodological innovations developed and validated through trials involving both neurotypical and autistic participants, and discuss how human–robot collaboration can be designed to support psychological well-being, diversity, and social inclusion in modern manufacturing.
