Kaffeeform

Kaffeeform is a Berlin-based company transforming recycled coffee grounds and biopolymers into durable, design-driven materials and products. As Founder and CEO, he leads the development of award-winning reusable coffee cups and lifestyle products that combine circular design with strong storytelling.

Julian Nachtigall-Lechner

Julian Nachtigall-Lechner (born 1985 in Berlin, Germany) is a designer and entrepreneur dedicated to creating sustainable material innovations. He studied Interdisciplinary Design at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. Before founding Kaffeeform in 2015, Julian worked with renowned design studios including Werner Aisslinger in Berlin and Stephen Burks’ Ready Made Design Studio in New York, contributing to projects at the intersection of craft, material experimentation, and industrial design.

His work with Kaffeeform has been recognized internationally, receiving honors such as the Red Dot Product Design Award – Best of the Best (2018) and the Specialty Coffee Association’s Best New Product Award (2022). Kaffeeform products are part of several museum collections and were exhibited in the German Pavilion at the EXPO in Osaka, Japan (2025).
