This meet-up will focus on start-up companies, their financing and support. The typical financial structure of startups funded by venture capitals and, even earlier, by business angels will be presented, illustrating the contractual clauses usually employed to manage the various conflicts of interest between founders and funders in this regard. Then, EIT Digital, a key pillar of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), will be introduced and cases on how startups can benefit from one of Europe’s largest and most dynamic digital innovation ecosystems will be shown. Participants will learn how to access a powerful European network of investors, corporations, and top talent—designed to accelerate startup growth, enhance innovation, and open doors to new markets across the continent. The meeting will conclude with some social activities to promote collaboration and interaction among participants.
