Short bio
Massimiliano Schiavo currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Agricultural Engineering Group at the Free University of Bolzano, where he teaches the courses of Environmental Geomatics and Advanced Geomatics. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano and previously graduated in Civil Engineering (with a specialization in hydraulics) at the University of Padua. He is Associate Editor for 'Frontiers in Freshwater Science', Guest Editor for 'Water' and 'Geosciences' (MDPI), while being a reviewer for more than 15 international peer-reviewed journals. His research vectors encompass rural constructions, groundwater, and applied geostatistics to agricultural systems and geosciences via Monte Carlo-based approaches and Machine Learning techniques.
