Assessment
For students who attend classes: a presentation on a contemporary female artist must be given, and the presentation must be submitted in written form on the day of the exam. The presentation will be assessed on the completeness of the biography and the coherence of the works in relation to the biography, the conclusiveness of the work analyses, and the student's own critical stance on the artist and her work. For non-attinding students: a term paper on a contemporary artist must be written, analyzing two important works by this artist. The text must be at least 18,000 characters long, not including spaces. The completeness of the biography in the context of art history, the complexity of the selected works, and the coherence of the analysis will be evaluated.
