Now in its fourth edition, this practical, hands-on workshop is offered to all PhD students across faculties and is organised by the Centre for Academic Writing (directed by prof. Maria Cristina Gatti).

Led by Dr Niall Curry, PhD (School of English, Manchester Metropolitan University), an experienced academic writing tutor with extensive expertise, the workshop offers a valuable opportunity for doctoral candidates to develop their academic writing skills in English, while working directly on their own writing projects, receiving individualised feedback and guidance.

With an empirical, practice-based approach using authentic materials, the sessions will focus on both thesis writing and writing for publication.
