Course Topics
Language Deepening More complex facial and body expressions Classifiers, temporality and space in narration directional verbs and localizations. Specific vocabulary with expansion of LIS vocabulary and sectoral vocabulary (school, work, health, emotions). Role play and interpretations

Lectures with tutorials and laboratory activities

Educational objectives
Topics: Intermediate LIS grammar - Complex and subordinate sentences. - Extensive use of classifiers (descriptive, semantic, instrumental). - Indicative, locative and reflexive pronouns. - Temporal expressions and modality. Narration and description - Visual storytelling techniques. - Description of complex events, situations and actions. - Narration in the past, present and future. At the end of the intermediate course, the student will be able to: - Understand and produce more complex speech, on known and concrete topics. - Use LIS classifiers effectively to describe objects, people, movements and situations. - Construct articulate sentences with correct subordinates and grammatical structures in LIS. - Recount personal experiences or events, also with temporal references (past/present/future). - Translate short texts from Italian into LIS and vice versa. - Recognise regional variations of signs and adapt to the communicative context. - Actively participate in communicative exchanges in more formal situations (e.g. school, work).

Assessment
Making an accessible video or teaching unit.

Evaluation criteria
Content knowledge, argumentative ability, accuracy and partinence, linguistic mastery.
