Course Topics
The course develops the following graduate profile competence: - Carry out communication and information activities with the families of students with disabilities, as well as activities aimed at engagement, shared responsibility, active listening, and support.

Educational objectives
Knowledge and Understanding - Understand the role of educational communication in building a school–family partnership - Know strategies and tools to support home-school communication Applied Knowledge and Understanding - Be able to design and implement activities with and for the families of students with disabilities - Use clear, assertive, and empathetic communication strategies in home-school relationships Making Judgment, Communication Skills, and Learning Skills - Reflect critically on the teacher’s role in promoting collaboration with families

Disciplinary skills Knowledge and understanding - To know the main characteristics of communication between school and family - Know the characteristics of the different roles Ability to apply knowledge and understanding - Know how to set up a shared educational alliance - Be able to identify common objectives - Be able to implement functional activities in the school-family relationship Transversal/soft skills Autonomy of judgement - Being able to elaborate autonomously and originally what they have learnt - Being able to self-assess one's own learning and theoretical/practical preparation in progress and in view of the examination - Being able to critically elaborate personal reflections from a constructive perspective Communication skills - To be able to communicate adequately in written and oral form, also using terminology specific to one's profession and the subject matter addressed - Communicate to the teacher any difficulties or need for further study of the topics addressed - Communicate in a respectful and functional manner within the group of fellow students - Share experiences with the group Learning skills - To be able to search, even autonomously, for material to deepen one's own learning - Use the various learning sources available in a functional manner

Oral

Evaluation criteria
The evaluation will be based on the reflections that emerge throughout the workshop. In addition, an overall evaluation will take into account the group work.
