International and National Rankings
In national rankings, our university reaches top positions every year. We rank high in international rankings too, especially under the categories "Internationalisation", "Student Satisfaction" and "Citations".

Censis
In 2025, for the ninth year in a row, the socio-economic research institute Censis ranked our university first among small non-state universities (with fewer than 5,000 students) in Italy, also awarding it the third highest score among all universities.

  • Faculty of Design and Art: first place for the Bachelor and Master programmes among Italian non-state funded universities.
  • Faculty of Economics and Management: second place for the Bachelor programmes among Italian non-state funded universities.
  • Faculty of Education: first place for the Bachelor programmes among Italian non-state funded universities.
  • Faculty of Engineering: second place for the Bachelor programmes and first place for the Master programmes among Italian non-state funded universities.

THE World University Rankings
In the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings unibz ranked in the band of 351— 400 out of almost 2,800 institutions worldwide. Our strongest pillars are "Research quality" (among the top 300 with a score of 85.9) and "International outlook" (among the top 300 with a score of 78.9). In Italy we are on the 12th position out of 57 universities ranked and on the first for "International outlook". In the Small University Rankings 2024 we are on position 14.

  • Faculty of Design and Art: among the top 500 worldwide (subject: Arts and Humanities).

QS World University Rankings
In 2025, unibz was included for the fourth time in the QS World University Rankings securing the 643rd position out of 8,467 universities analyzed. It ranked among the top 300 in the 'Citations per Faculty' category.
