This is a module of the basic training area and serves the function of orientation and initial knowledge of educational contexts and related teaching methodologies.
The module introduces the theoretical-methodological foundations of general didactics with particular reference to first and second grade secondary schools. It accompanies students to get to know, understand, experience and reflect on: (a) the complexity and quality of educational contexts and relationships; (b) educational projects and processes; (c) the specificity and importance of the educational profession; (d) the importance of the learning environment and the role of experience in the teaching-learning process.

Course Topics
Evolution of the concept of experience; construction of meanings between individual and social experience; didactic role of spaces and materials; role of the teacher between rearch, observation and promotion of students empowerment.

Teaching format
Dialogic lesson, analysis and reflection on experiences, testing and evaluation of environments and materials

Educational objectives
- Acquire the theoretical-methodological foundations of didactics in relation to the secondary school, - To know and use the basic terminology, - To know the basics of educational planning and programming and the development of learning contexts. Disciplinary skills: Knowledge and understanding of the key concepts and terminology of general didactics. Analysing concrete situations using known didactic theoretical-methodological references; Design teaching-learning situations, through play, moments of autonomous learning, collaborative tools and materials; Hypothesising the development of learning moments inside and outside the classroom. Transversal/soft skills: Autonomy of judgement expressed through the ability to: - Reflection, discussion, in-depth study and personal reworking of the emerging themes of the module; - Communication skills expressed through the ability to: - communicate in a group knowing how to support one's own ideas; - Listening actively, knowing how to develop the task and relational dynamics; - Learning skills expressed through the ability to: - describe, analyse, interpret teaching situations - relating to the secondary school, referring to different - pedagogical and didactic theories.

Assessment
Final written exam (open-ended questions).

Evaluation criteria
Assignment of a single final grade.
