The course aims to provide students with the cultural and theoretical tools to understand the legal framework related to school inclusion at the national level and in the Province of Bolzano.

Course Topics
The course develops the following competency from the graduate profile: - Know the main aspects of local and national school legislation in the field of integration and inclusion.

Teaching format
The course will take place in person. Teaching will be lecture-based, with moments of interaction on cases, topics, and issues related to the subjects of the course.

Educational objectives
Knowledge and Understanding - Know the main aspects of Italian legislation on school inclusion - Know the main aspects of provincial legislation on school inclusion Applied Knowledge and Understanding - Be able to identify and analyze laws and regulatory tools (e.g. IEP, school autonomy) in order to design inclusive educational and organizational interventions Making Judgment, Communication Skills, and Learning Skills - Critically evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the current legal framework in addressing stereotypes, barriers, and special educational needs.

Additional educational objectives and learning outcomes
Knowledge and interpretative and applicative skills - Ability to interpret and apply the legislation on school inclusion.

Assessment
Written exam. Open-ended questions.

Evaluation criteria
- Knowledge and comprehension of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the various instruments of school inclusion (Individualized Education Plan - IEP, Special Educational Needs - SEN, school autonomy, assessment procedures, International Classification of Functioning - ICF, right to education). - Knowledge of national and provincial legislation concerning school inclusion, with particular reference to Law n. 104 of 1992 and Legislative Decree n. 66 of 2017. - Ability to identify and apply relevant legal norms to specific cases.
