The professional internship in the second year allows students to move from participant observation to socio-pedagogical practice. Under the guidance of qualified tutors, they independently take on practical tasks and thus expand their knowledge and operational skills.

The aim is the systematic development of practical and operational skills, the acquisition of reflective professionalism and active collaboration within (multi)professional teams.

Course Topics
- Acquisition of knowledge in a specific socio-educational field of choice. Analysis of target groups, tasks, methods and institutional conditions - Planning, implementation and evaluation of educational tasks under supervision, developing operational skills. - Application of educational planning, documentation and evaluation tools. - Consolidation of the ability to link theory and practice in real-life situations. - Reflection on one's professional identity, acquired skills and areas for growth. - Drafting of a written reflection report

Educational objectives
Knowledge and understanding - Students have knowledge of the structure, tasks and target groups of specific areas of social pedagogy. - They understand operational educational methodologies (planning, conducting activities, evaluation). - They are familiar with the main regulatory and institutional references. Applying knowledge and understanding - Students know how to conduct educational activities under supervision. - They know how to collaborate proactively with educators and other professionals. - They know how to link practical experiences to theoretical foundations. - They know how to document and evaluate educational experiences in a systematic manner. Judgement - Students are able to compare different professional fields and areas of intervention based on their target audiences, pedagogical approaches, methods and effectiveness, and to evaluate them in a reasoned and in-depth manner. - They know how to evaluate the effectiveness of their own educational actions. Communication - Students know how to present observations in depth. - They interact and collaborate with operators, users and other stakeholders. - They share observations and proposals in a multidisciplinary team. - They participate constructively and cooperatively in moments of collective reflection. Learning strategies - Students know how to develop personal improvement strategies. - They develop autonomy in study and critical reflection on educational work. - They develop strategies for a constant link between theory and practice.

Assessment
Examination: Final professional report describing the internship position and activities carried out, analysis of a case/project followed, personal reflection (as per guidelines).
