Active participation in conferences, trainings and field visits

Semester 1-2 · 51036 · Bachelor in Social Work · 4CP · IT · EN · DE

Social work is subject to constant change and seeks solutions to changing social issues and problems that give rise to different perspectives and interpretations.
The development of a mentality that promotes innovation, research and creativity in social work requires continuous contact and exchange with professional practice and scientific research. One way of doing this is to take part in further training courses, symposia, conferences and excursions in which reflections on professional practice, current specialist discourse and new research findings as well as innovative solutions in the field of social services are presented and discussed.
The optional course "Active participation in conferences, trainings and field visits" gives students the opportunity to claim participation in further education events, specialist conferences, conferences, excursions and study trips relevant to the educational objectives of the degree programme.
Participation in subject-related conferences, workshops and excursions must correspond to the number of credit points provided and must be applied for and approved in advance. The total of 4 credit points are recognised on the basis of a detailed reflection report and a final evaluation meeting.
